Though they had less in common after she was made a Knight and took a Padawan of her own while he hadn't passed the trials yet, their friendship is clearly important to both of them and including him could be a fun little Easter egg for those who know and love him. They first got to know each other while they were both Padawans, and reconnected later during the events of the novel Out of the Shadows. The Acolyte would be the perfect time to introduce Vernestra's companion Reath Silas. Not only that, but he's a fantastic teacher in general, as he instructed Vernestra Rwoh during her youth and shared his knowledge with the other Padawans, including Zettifar, whenever he got the chance. He is the reasonable counterpart to Kriss's passion, and understood firsthand the importance of clinging to the Order's values whenever possible. And, if Avar Kriss turns up, it would make sense to have her beloved friend Stellan Gios with her, as he also frequented Starlight Beacon. She's dedicated to saving everyone, even at her own expense, and seeks to see the good in even the most dreadful situations - all of which would be excellent lessons to teach the children as they continue on their path toward becoming full-fledged Jedi. However, since Young Jedi Adventures is going to be spending a fair amount of time on Starlight Beacon, this is the perfect chance to introduce Avar Kriss, the station's marshal and one of the wisest Jedi to ever live. With how many characters play into the High Republic era, it'll be difficult to choose which ones should feature in other projects first. If these two shows are received well, it's only a matter of time before more High Republic projects are announced. Given how often she works with her fellow Jedi in the novels (and how much of the cast remains unrevealed), it's incredibly likely that she's not the only novel character to appear in the show, which reportedly features the most Jedi characters of any Star Wars project to date. Mirialan Jedi Vernestra Rwoh, a key player in the High Republic novels, is already slated to make her live-action debut. Set at the end of the era (roughly a hundred years before the beginning of The Phantom Menace), it'll follow a former Padawan, played by Amandla Stenberg, as she reunites with her master to solve a series of threatening mysteries. It's the perfect place for their paths to cross with other important figures who would have their own lessons to teach the children while still bringing beloved characters into the larger universe.įuture appearances of High Republic characters become even more likely with the upcoming release of The Acolyte. So many significant Jedi of the era were stationed there, and even those who weren't turned up routinely to discuss their missions with the masters working there permanently. This only becomes more important when it's considered that the younglings will be paying a visit to Starlight Beacon in the new episodes. After all, at this point in the Star Wars canon, the Jedi are all working closely together. If Zettifar, Greatstorm, and Maru's first appearances get the desired reaction from audiences, this could pave the way for more characters from the High Republic to make the leap to the screen in the near future.
